Neall with Alex Rodriguez

Neall French has a background of being a part of winning teams and organizations throughout his baseball career.  This first started for Neall at St. Ignatius High School where he helped lead his alma mater to their first and only State Championship in 2002.

He then went on to be a Junior College All-American, and helped lead his team to a JUCCO National Championship while breaking numerous school and conference records for his offensive performance.  He was also drafted by the Cleveland Indians before deciding to continue his college career at the University of Cincinnati.  At the University of Cincinnati he was an All-Big East Conference Player, and led a team with two current Major League Players in average, homeruns, and RBI’s.

After a successful college career Neall signed with the New York Yankees, and in his first season led the organization in several offensive categories as a catcher and first baseman.  After several injuries and additions to his family he decided to retire from professional baseball in June 2010 while playing for the Trenton Thunder in the AA Eastern League.

“Neall’s a quality instructor who has a great facility.  He’s a former professional and college player that has played the game at a very high level, and he will make sure his guys are playing the game the right way, and getting quality instruction. I know he will make every effort possible to ensure his players get the opportunities and work they need to continue their careers at the next level.”

“He’s a good baseball mind,” Cleary said. “There’s some guys that know the game, and there’s some guys that REALLY know the game and he’s one of those guys that REALLY know it.”
